Bilingual counseling (English and Spanish)
I speak Spanish and English. Every service I offer can be in English, in Spanish, or in both.
Use whichever language feels natural at home. You can switch in the middle of a sentence, and nobody has to translate for anyone.

Talking in your own language
Hard things are easier to say in the words you use at home
Say it the way you'd say it at home
Some things are easier to say in Spanish, and some in English. You don't have to pick one. Say it however it comes out.
I'll ask, not assume
Every family has its own way of doing things. I won't assume I know yours. I'll ask, I'll listen, and I'll keep learning how your family works.
"Talk the way you talk at home. If I don't understand something, I'll ask."
Learning how your family does things
I'd rather ask than guess
I'll ask who matters in your family and who you'd like involved, grandparents included.
I'll ask how you handle things at home, like rules, respect, and chores, before I suggest anything.
If faith is part of your family's life, you're welcome to bring it in.
If something I say doesn't fit your family, tell me. That helps me learn.
