About 14 miles, or roughly 25 minutes by car, and parking is free. Sessions with children are always in person. On busy weeks, parents can meet by video from home for a parenting session.
In person. GPS Therapies, 710 E. Main St, Suite 1, Siloam Springs, AR 72761. Free parking. Get directions
Online. By video from home, for teens, adults, parents, and couples. Sessions with children are always in person. Online sessions are for clients who are in Arkansas at the time of the session.
English or Spanish. Every session can be in English, in Spanish, or in both, and we can switch back and forth.
Drive times are approximate and don't count traffic.
Can the whole family meet in two languages?
Yes, and that often makes the difference. A child might talk about feelings more easily in English, while a parent or grandparent is more comfortable in Spanish. In family sessions we use both, so nobody has to sit there translating.
What happens after the free call?
If it feels like a good fit, we set up the first session. New families can usually start within a week. For play therapy, we'll talk on the call about how you'll be part of it as a parent.
What do Decatur families usually come in for?
- A child's worry, anger, or sadness that's starting to affect school
- Changes in the family's routine, like a new job, a new schedule, or a new baby
- Kids caught in the middle of a separation or a move
- Parents who want help with discipline that isn't yelling
