What to expect

Starting counseling is easier when you know what's coming. Here's how it works, from the first call to the weeks after.

  1. 01

Schedule a free 15-minute call. Pick a time on my calendar, or call me at (479) 388-0661. You tell me what is going on, ask me anything, and we see together if I'm the right fit. English or Spanish.

  2. 02

Pick a time for your first session. In person at my office in Siloam Springs, or online from anywhere in Arkansas. Sessions with children are always in person.

  3. 03

Fill out the intake forms. I'll send them before your first session. They take about 15 to 20 minutes.

  4. 04

Your first session. Fifty minutes to get to know each other. I'll ask what brought you in and what you'd like to be different, and you can ask me anything about how this works.

  5. 05

After that. Most people come weekly or every other week. We check in on how things are going and change the plan when life changes.

What to bring

A photo ID and a way to pay. If it helps, a few notes on what has been happening and the questions on your mind. For play therapy, your child is welcome to bring a favorite comfort item. You don't need to know what to say. Figuring that out together is my job.

Where we meet

In person. GPS Therapies, 710 E. Main St, Suite 2, Siloam Springs, AR 72761. I'll come out to the waiting room to meet you at your appointment time.

Online. For teens, adults, parents, and couples. Sessions with children are always in person. You'll need to be somewhere in Arkansas, in a private spot where you won't be interrupted, with a phone, tablet, or computer that has a camera. I'll send you a link before we meet.

Paying for sessions

Each 50-minute session is $89, paid at the session by cash, check, or card. I don't bill insurance, but I can give you a superbill to send to your plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. More on fees
